Although based in the North East of England, we accept referrals from all dental professionals in the UK. Referrals are accepted by email or letter. Urgent referrals should be marked as such and initial contact can be made via the contact us button.
Please include the following information in your referral:
Where possible, we will attempt to provide a single visit service for the convenience of your patients. This may only be possible if all the requested referral information is available, please provide this if at all possible. For sedation, best practice is to pre-consent at consultation and confirm at treatment, necessitating two visits, which will also ensure we have the correct staffing levels.
If you wish to accompany your patients to their treatment appointments, then this can be accommodated. If you would like us to come to your practice for the convenience of your patients, this too can sometimes be arranged. We can also provide you with a sedation only service, please contact us for details.
A practice visit can be useful if you wish to treat the patient under supervision to hone your own techniques. Please see our education section for training options.
Unless indicated by the nature of the treatment, or requested by you or the patient, review appointments for routine procedures will not be offered. We will return the patients to your care following their surgical procedure. All patients will be given comprehensive aftercare instructions and advised to contact us with immediate post-operative problems. Emergency contact information will be given. We will be happy to see any patients that have, or you have concerns regarding treatment.
We will contact you if we require further information on receipt of your referral. We will send a letter to you following consultation and treatment appointments, to keep you informed of the patient's progress. We will contact the patient's general medical practitioner, with the patients consent, when relevant to patient management.
We want to work with you in the comprehensive care of your patients, so we will contact you if we have any queries regarding treatment plans or if we advise deviations from plans provided by you. We will not proceed with any additional treatment not specified in your treatment plan without confirmation from you. If possible please provide a direct contact telephone number to facilitate this, which we will only use if necessary.
We rely not only on our reputation for providing an excellent quality of surgery and an efficient service, but also on our friendly and caring approach to our patients.
